Passing the Basic Pistol Course
Participate in the Course
This course has both classroom and range requirments where you demonstrate the material being taught.
Written Test
There is a 50 question written test, multiple choice or Yes/No questions, where you must pass with a 90% or above.
Live-fire Evaluation
After an appropriate practice period in following range safety rules, procedures, and pistol fundamentals, approximately 20 rounds, the evaluation consists of:
- Level One: 10 feet, 5 rounds each in 4 circles, total of 20 rounds (required)
- Level Two: 15 feet, 5 rounds each in 4 circles, total of 20 rounds (optional)
- Level Three: 20 feet, 5 rounds each in 4 circles, total of 20 rounds (optional)
